Setback forLarkfield title bid

Larkfield’s hopes of landing netball’s Premier League title suffered a severe setback when they slipped to a third consecutive defeat since the turn of the year after reaching Christmas unbeaten.

It has been a spectacular transformation of fortunes for the Lisburn club, who can however still be crowned champions if they arrest the slump and win their six remaining matches including two meetings with current league leaders, Graduates.

In narrowly losing out to champions Belfast Ladies on a 52-50 scoreline at the Racquets Club last Friday night, Denise Prue’s side did deliver a much improved peformance compared to their last outing against Graduates a fortnight earlier.
