Silverware success at Slemish College
Addressing the packed audience, Principal Dr Paul McHugh pointed out that during the two decades since its establishment, 2790 young people have been a part of the Slemish Community.
He thanked the Parents’ Council, Board of Governors and parents for their support and, reflecting on the Integrated Ethos which is firmly embedded in Slemish.

Hide AdDr McHugh said: “Uniquely we provide an educational environment in which students of all traditions and abilities can learn together in a caring school community where self-worth and mutual respect are highly valued.
“Students have the opportunity to openly celebrate their cultural traditions and beliefs while also learning about the culture and beliefs of others.
“In this “decade of commemorations” we have the maturity and confidence to take a measured look at the events of the past century that has molded our society and our people. The experience of their time at this Integrated College will allow our students to transcend the barriers and attitudes that continue to inhibit many of the adults and politicians in our communities.”
