Wormery winner

THE winner of Lisburn City Council’s Wormery competition is Mr Campbell Dodds from Derriaghy.

Following hundreds of entries for the competition in the Council’s magazine CityWide Mr Campbell Dodds name was drawn out as the winner of the worm composter.

Chairman of the Council’s Environmental Services Committee, Councillor Andrew Ewing, congratulated Mr Dodds on winning the wormery: “The number of entries for the competition shows the level of interest in recycling and in particular producing your own compost. I hope that Mr Dodds will enjoy using the worm composter and find it a useful asset for his garden. The Council is keen to divert food waste from landfill sites, so as well as using your brown bin for all your food waste a worm composter is another great way to make use of it. Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter the competition and show their interest.”
