Campbell is'¨ordained to '¨the Eldership
Rev Ian Kenny, minister of Dromore, opened the service by remarking that four generations of the Gibson family were present for the occasion.
The Moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church, Rev Thomas Murray conducted the ordination, preaching from 1 Timothy chapter 5v17, “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.”

Hide AdIn his sermon he emphasized the role, respect and reward of the elder.
Other ministers also took part in the service, including two former ministers of Moneyslane Free Presbyterian Church, Dr John Douglas and Dr Ron Johnstone.
The present minister of Moneyslane, Rev William McDermott also participated. To mark the occasion, Rev Kenny, on behalf of the Dromore congregation, presented a copy of The Westminster Confession of Faith, to the newly ordained Elder. It was announced that Mr Campbell Gibson will give a personal word of testimony on Lord’s Day evening of June 12, telling of his conversion to Christ at an early age.
