Concern for safety of pupils in Cullybackey
Cullybackey’s main street has gained a notorious reputation down through the years for persistent traffic snarl ups and near misses as drivers try to squeeze through the bottleneck, often taking risks to do so.
Now a local councillor says he fears for the safety of pupils after the retirement of the long serving lollipop lady.

This has left the School, parents and pupils concerned about the safety of children on a daily basis having to cross the road to and from school.
“It is vitally important that the Education Authority have a replacement in place as soon as possible for the safety of everyone involved.”
