Ward was identified through CCTV footage.
He told police he could not remember the incident because he had issues with drink and drugs.
On March 15 police received a report of the defendant removing several lengths of wood from a neighbour’s fence and throwing them on the pavement.
A barrister said that Ward’s record showed he had spent a considerable time in custody and these offences maybe could have been dealt with along with the other offences.
He added that he injured party in the criminal damage offence had now moved out of the area.
District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said the defendant had a record of some relevance.
