Gareth also volunteers as an Assistant Lighting Technician with the Riverside Theatre, which is on the University Campus, and where ‘The Addams Family Musical’ will be staged from October 23–31.
Among the shows Gareth worked on was Portrush Music Society’s previous production, Evita, and when he heard about auditions for The Addams Family, he went along “for the craic”.
He said: “Rehearsing for The Addams Family has been an experience.

“Seriously, when I first went to a music rehearsal with them, everyone was so into this show and they are amazing singers.
“As corny as it sounds, I think the other principals were born to perform this role.
The banter is always bouncing and is still fun during rehearsals and on our Facebook chats.

My character, Lucas Beineke, is basically a man-boy; he wants to grow up and marry his delightful Wednesday Addams but at the same time he isn’t ready and has a lot to learn about himself and the world. Do not miss the opportunity to see our show. We promise a ghoulishly grand night.”
The Addams Family Musical runs at the Riverside Theatre in Coleraine from October 23-31. Box office is open.
