“In recent years public support for the PSNI has grown right across Northern Ireland. That support includes passing information to the police about crime or suspicious activity,” she said.
“On Saturday, a tip off from a member of the public assisted the police to apprehend a man in Portadown, who is now facing a number of charges. Without that tip off, who knows what crimes would have gone undetected. Public vigilance can help reduce crime and lead to criminals ending up in court.
