Derry retain Billy Kee Memorial Cup

DERRY City retained the Billy Kee Memorial Cup, following their 2-1 win at Institute, on Tuesday night.

Played in bitterly cold conditions, the Brandywell men had to come from behind to win the cup, after Sean Roddy had given ’Stute the lead early on.

A defensive mistake by Matt Crossan on ten minutes saw his weak header back to Gerard Doherty fall well short and Roddy nipped in and lobbed the out-rushing City keeper.
