Joy of eight but Valley crash
Lagan Valley travelled to Holywood in NIBA Division Five and failed to get a point when crashing to a 56 shots defeat.
There was one pleasing moment during the game when the rink of Bob McClelland, Michael Blair, Gary Stubbs and Jeff Fawcus lifted a “hot shot’’ at the eighth, but even they lost by 12 shots.

Hide AdAt the ninth they led 12-10 but soon dropped four, three and two before falling to defeat.
Down 5-15 at the tenth Wilfie Benson was then 6-25 at 15 ends and lost by 22 shots.
At the tenth Jim Kinkead was 5-14 down and Valley dropped ten shots without reply over the next five ends before losing by 18 shots.
Down 6-9 at the tenth and 8-14 at 15 ends Brett Kirk came back over the closing stages to lose by the lowest margin of the day - four shots.

Hide AdHilden B continued their good form in Private Greens Junior Two, taking six points from a seven shots win at home to Comber B.
Despite lifting two threes Gary Finlay was 8-12 down at the ninth but he came back strongly to lift a four and added another four at the last end to win by 13 shots.
At the tenth Max McClean was 8-7 ahead but he lifted two threes to win by three shots. Two threes helped Hugh Murray to a 12-4 lead at the tenth and though slipping back a little Hilden still won by four shots.
Ahead 7-5 at the ninth Robin Campbell only added another shot and lost by 13 shots.
