Jamie Knipe was on hand to protect the clean sheet following an opening for Raphoe due to a defensive slip.
Adam Stevenson’s drag flick then bounced off the base of the post before half-time.
Portadown increased the attacking threat in the second half and pressure included a Stephen Johnston deflection which hit the crossbar.

The scorer played a part in Portadown’s second goal when clever skill helped him skip past two challenges before releasing Zach McClelland along the left.
McClelland’s delivery was controlled and converted by Neil Gilmore with a reverse-stick finish.
Portadown struggled to add additional goals to the approach play and suffered due to Raphoe’s late push.
